Il trittico Tickets – The Royal Opera, Royal Opera House

Il trittico tickets are for Puccini’s triple bill in Richard Jones’s production for The Royal Opera at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, conducted by Speranza Scappucci. Three complete operas in one evening: the dark verismo of Il tabarro, the spiritual intensity of Suor Angelica and the comic brilliance of Gianni Schicchi.

Il trittico is an unusually generous evening of opera. Booking for this production has not yet opened to the general public, so TicketsToSee quotes for top-category seats in the Orchestra Stalls, Stalls Circle and Donald Gordon Grand Tier on request, date by date. Puccini’s Il trittico, the Operas

Il tabarro

On a barge on the Seine, the bargemaster Michele suspects his wife Giorgetta of an affair with the stevedore Luigi, and the cloak of the title hides a murder.

Suor Angelica

A young nun of noble birth, sent to a convent after having a child, learns from her aunt that her son has died, in an opera of overwhelming emotional force.

Gianni Schicchi

The greedy relatives of a dead Florentine call in the wily Gianni Schicchi to rewrite the will, and he leaves the best of it to himself. Its aria ‘O mio babbino caro’ is one of the most famous in opera.
