considered the best rendezvous at Glyndebourne, The Long Bar offers a warm welcome to all. A full range of champagne, Pimms, wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks, appetisers, sandwiches, teas, and coffees are all offered and can be pre-ordered or purchased on the day.

The Lawn Bar
Glyndebourne’s beautiful grounds and gardens can be enjoyed before the performance from the Champagne tent on the lawn. Open in fine weather, it offers Champagne, Glyndebourne house red and white wines, Pimms by the jug or glass, beers and a selection of soft drinks.

Middle & Over Wallop Tea Rooms
The Ha Ha Tea can be found in the tranquil surroundings of the Middle & Over Wallop Conservatory.

The Pre-performance tea service includes freshly baked scones with Cornish clotted cream & summer fruit jams, finger sandwiches, French pastries, and a selection of teas & coffees.

In addition, champagnes & wines by the glass are available. Tables can only be guaranteed by pre-booking.

Mildmay Tearooms
For a more relaxed afternoon tea, visit the Mildmay Tearooms. The terrace and veranda are also open in fine weather. Unfortunately, tables cannot be pre-booked and are allocated upon arrival.

Glyndebourne supports the much-loved & long-standing tradition of picnicking and offers four types of picnic, prepared in their own style.

Available for collection on a pre-order basis from the Picnic Hut. They offer a Summer Picnic, a Traditional Picnic, and an All-Inclusive Traditional Picnic with Champagne, furniture & Porter.

Picnic Porter Service
If you have ordered a Summer or Traditional Picnic for an additional fee, a picnic porter will take your picnic and any furniture to your chosen location and set it up for you.

This will then be cleared away following the Long Interval or later if you choose to return after the performance.

The Short Interval
This short 20-minute interval during certain productions *, please enquire. The Long Bar is open & beverage stations are on the Circle & Upper Circle balconies.

The Long Interval
Dinner is served in all three restaurants during the Long Interval. Owing to the time constraints of the interval (80 minutes), pre-ordering your dining requirements in advance is necessary.

Middle & Over Wallop
Extensively refurbished, this restaurant is designed on three levels with a glazed extension offering views over the South Downs. Fine dining can be pre-booked, offering 3 courses.

Nether Wallop
Nether Wallop follows the style of The Christie Dining Hall, which was the very first dining hall at Glyndebourne.

It offers a popular hot carvery with traditional roast beef and salmon en route and a cold buffet. A great range of cold desserts is also available.

Mildmay
This restaurant looks out onto the magnificent walled garden. The restaurant offers a relaxed environment with an intimate setting for those who dine on the balconies or al fresco on the veranda in fine weather. British theme menus focus on quality, freshness and seasonal ingredients.
