Aida Tickets

Aida Tickets – The Royal Opera, Royal Opera House

Aida tickets are for Verdi’s great opera of love and war in Robert Carsen’s production for The Royal Opera at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, conducted by Michele Mariotti. Aida, an Ethiopian princess enslaved in Egypt, loves the commander Radamès, who leads the army against her own people.

Aida’s choruses and the Triumphal March make it one of the most spectacular evenings in opera. Booking for this production has not yet opened to the general public, so TicketsToSee quotes for top-category seats in the Orchestra Stalls, Stalls Circle and Donald Gordon Grand Tier on request, date by date. Verdi’s Aida, the Opera

The story

Radamès is chosen to lead Egypt against Ethiopia, unaware that the slave Aida he loves is the Ethiopian king’s daughter. The princess Amneris, also in love with him, discovers their secret, and when Radamès betrays a military secret he is condemned to be buried alive, where Aida joins him.

The music

Verdi’s 1871 score includes ‘Celeste Aida’, the Triumphal March, Aida’s ‘O patria mia’ and the hushed final duet in the tomb.
