Course admission generally allows access to public spectator areas, walking routes, food and drink outlets, merchandise areas and available viewing positions around the course. Final access conditions remain subject to event organiser rules and the final ticket format.

St Andrews returns to the rota in 2027 for the 155th Open. The Old Course is defined by its shared fairways, double greens, the Swilcan Bridge on the closing hole and the Road Hole at 17, with the North Sea wind the single biggest variable across the four days.
